One of the aspects I mostly enjoyed about working on the layout for Tito was the close collaboration with Director Nahum Galeote.
He was a true master and an inspiring mentor who supervised me throughout the entire process but he was very open to hear my proposals as well. Even in this particular instance, when we were in a rush (and too late to make storyboard changes), they allowed me the flexibility to improvise, be creative, and take some camera placement decisions to achieve a more dynamic rhythm.
I genuinely believe that 'El Poder' has transformed the way I perceive the editor's role and emphasized the necessity of possessing editing skills as an artist involved in filmmaking.
